Job Description

UC Health is hiring a full-time Patient Care Service Associate (PCSA) for first shift to support the Operative Services unit at UC Medical Center.

The Patient Care Service Associate will provide basic direct support as delegated by clinical professional personnel in accordance with delegation law and rules and current education. This position will work at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and visitors.

  • The Operative Services unit teamwork model allows close work with all members of the team to provide the highest level of acuity and care for all our patients.
  • The Operative Services unit PCSA's work supports clinical staff to care for patients during their recovery and makes connections with the patients to ensure a compassionate and comfortable recovery.
  • The Operative Services unit provides an opportunity to expand Academic knowledge in a Medical Center and allows a teaching environment.


Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

The Patient Care Service Associate will provide basic direct support as delegated by clinical professional personnel in accordance with delegation law and rules and current education. This position will work at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and visitors.
  • Provides hygiene and comfort measures. Change linens as needed. Room cleaning after each patient. Restocking of equipment and resources needed by clinical staff to ensure all tools are available for each patient.
  • Facilitates the maintenance of a clean, safe and organized environment for patients and coworkers. Removes equipment when no longer in use to appropriate area for cleaning. Re-orders and stocks materials as necessary. Reports maintenance issues.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service skills, satisfactory attendance and basic computer skills.
