PM&R Residency Program Manager

Job Description

UC Health is hiring a full-time Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Residency Program Manager to work at the UC Stetson Building.

The PM&R Residency Program Manager will be education mission-focused and support the educational programs within the PM&R division. The position will work directly with Program Directors and support the PM&R Residency, Medical Student, and Fellowship programs.

The Program Manager will work with the Program Directors in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training programs and ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. Key duties include facilitating recruitment, clinical rotations, schedules, feedback collection, events and conferences. The position prioritizes organizational skills, communication, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • This is an existing position that supports ACGME requirements.
  • Candidates able to start in December will have the opportunity to train with the existing program manager as they orient into this position.

Responsibilities

The Program Manager will have the opportunity to work closely with your colleagues, provide direction and support, and foster a team-oriented environment. In addition, you will be able to take advantage of our Total Rewards program which rises above other healthcare providers in our area.
  • Coordinates and participates in meetings with faculty members to determine objectives of the program and/or center and to identify internal and external resources available to meet those objectives.
  • Develops and implements program protocols, procedures, and operating policies.
  • Prepares applications for grants and contracts to include development of budgets; administers departmental grants and contracts in accordance with University policies and sponsors' requirements regarding records, reports, controls, and conditions governing expenditures of funds.
  • Coordinates arrangements for special programs such as speaker series to include inviting appropriate speakers or other participants, arranging schedules, facilities, publicity, and ensuring necessary financial arrangements.
  • Prepares brochures, bulletins, and other publications to describe the program's academic goals and events such as conferences and special programs; publishes, develops, and implements other communications vehicles such as newsletters to include compiling news and educational articles of local interest; writes and edits text and coordinates printing and mailing or distribution.
  • Maintains liaison with outside educational and professional organizations and agencies to explore the implementation of specialized programs and to encourage participation in specified programs.
  • Coordinates the compilation of and prepares operational and financial reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
  • Corresponds with interested students and other universities to provide information concerning activities, policies, and procedures of the program.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience is preferred with a focus on program financial responsibility and budget compliance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
