Job Description

UC Health is hiring a Full-Time Project Manager for the CMO Office. (This position will be hybrid).

The Project Manager serves as a driver for change and has responsibility for leading and overseeing quality and/or service improvement initiatives from initiation to close, within the Project Management Office (PMO). This position will work with the departmental team and other departments (eg. Nursing, Support Services, etc.) to define projects and set the project scope, plans for project resource requirements (time, labor, and/or financial), set deadlines and track progress, ensure completion of team administrative functions in order to promote effective meetings, and manages multiple projects through prioritization and delegation.

Responsibilities

  • Develops implementation plans for assigned moderate to highly complex improvement projects - working with stakeholders to ensure alignment of the desired scope and results by creating a process to bring it to fruition.
  • Delegates and monitors the progress of tasks assigned to project resources for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Uses applicable computerized systems (i.e. Tableau dashboards) to monitor progress and performance metrics.
  • Assists the organization with enhancing our accountability.
  • Monitors assigned projects to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Maintains communication with project teams, leaders, and other stakeholders including communicating project status, progress, and challenges.
  • Uses a limited tool set of improvement methods to assist teams in solving problems
  • Analyzes and interprets data from various database systems to identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Assists with defining and tracking success metrics for improvement initiatives.
  • Provides graphical analysis to establish relationships in data, and reach supportable conclusions based on available data.
  • Uses benchmarking processes to identify best practices.
  • Develops reports and query databases for custom reports to support the team's informed decision-making and appropriate reporting of the data to the appropriate committees.
  • Leads efforts to maintain and manage all data management programs as appropriate.
  • Provides project management support as needed for identified projects that are prioritized by the enterprise


Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Minimum Required: 3 - 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 6 - 10 years of equivalent experience.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in project management and group facilitation is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (presentation, written, and verbal) required, and demonstrated ability to work in rapidly changing and/or ambiguous environments.
  • Candidate must also have the ability to understand "big picture" organizational priorities, combined with excellent attention to detail.
  • This position requires experience in an Academic Medical System in process improvement and leading successful quality and safety efforts for an organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and project management experience is required for this position.
  • Formal training in project management, lean processes, and data analytics is required.
