Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
- Communicates formulated plan of care, as appropriate, to all levels of associates involved in the patient's care and demonstrates the ability to establish priorities of care based on the patient's assessment and needs.
- Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment, and involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care of the patient.
- Delivers, performs, and interprets radiation treatments and set-ups according to physician directives and prescriptions.
- Maintains daily treatment schedule in a customer focused manner which includes performing accurate charge captures for procedures, accurately recording pre-treatment and treatment records, and operates treatment equipment according to established departmental standards and policies.
- Performs treatment simulation, fabrication of treatment devices, body contouring, documentation, and simple computerized dosimetry as needed.
- Takes a pro-active approach to workflow and technical issues while remaining dedicated to continuous learning and commitment to the teaching environment.
- Performs daily quality assurance checks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree required (bachelor's degree preferred)
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Must be licensed by the State of Ohio in Radiation Therapy
- New grads are acceptable
