UC Health is hiring a part time Senior Certified Processing Tech for our day shift department at West Chester Hospital .
The Senior Certified Instrument Processing Technician performs all activities associated with decontamination, clean prep, tray assembly, sterilization, distribution and acquiring of instruments and supplies for the OR and L/D Departments.

Proven competency in instrumentation set up, decontamination and sterilization, knowledge and competency of different types of sterilization equipment, knowledge of medical supplies and must be able to demonstrate competency in computer verbal and written communication skills.

- Perform all level I tech duties and responsibilities as well as train and precept new staff.
- Responsible for oversight of processing department equipment and identifying specialty instruments and supplies.
- Complete all paperwork associated with sterilization processes for patient safety and accreditation purposes while maintaining attention to detail.
- Maintain and recognize sterility of supplies and trays.
- Deliver and interpret requested supplies/items while performing and organizing high volume cases.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, minimum required.
- Two Licensure/Certification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (required), Certified Instrument Specialist, Certified Endoscope Reprocessor, or Certified Healthcare Leadership (IAHCSMM)
- Three to five years minimum experience
