Sr Financial Analyst, Full Time, UC Medical Center
The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accurate analytics in order to complete the forecasting and month end close process for UCMC, WCH, and Drake. Sr. Financial Analysts will become subject matter experts in sections of the income statement. For instance, one Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for all close and forecast functions for Purchased Services. Another Sr. Financial Analyst will be assigned Supplies, etc. The coverage extends across all three hospitals. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be assigned business partner relationships with specific parts of the organization. These assignments will allow for an in-depth understanding of the financial performance of these areas. Cross training will occur so that the Sr. Financial Analyst has experiences across multiple facets of UC Health operations. The Sr. Financial Analyst may support other functions, such as capital planning, productivity reporting, and benchmarking.

Responsibilities
- Oversee Volume, Gross charges and Net Patient Revenue Categories of the income statement.
- Responsible for reviewing variances throughout the month and reaching out to operational leaders when necessary. At month end they are responsible for reviewing and analyzing volume and rate assumptions.
- Understand deductions and payor mix from that of plan is also another monthly responsibility.
- Additional Forecast/Budget high end level duties for Gross, Volume and Net as well.
- The department oversite will be determined based on experience of the candidate.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business or related field with a MBA or MHA preferred. Three to five years of progressive management responsibility will be considered.
