West Chester Hospital, First Shift, Full-Time, Supply Chain Tech

The Supply Chain Tech is responsible for managing high dollar inventory (consigned and owned) in the OR/Procedural areas that is valued in excess of $90M of total spend. The Supply Chain Technician must ensure that assigned inventory is available in the amounts necessary to meet projected patient needs and safeguard patient safety by eliminating expired product.

Responsibilities

  • High Dollar Inventory Management. Manages high dollar implants and Physician Preference Items in OR & Procedural areas for inventory exceeding $90M in total spend. This includes in-room specialty items in Procedure rooms and OR suites Manages perpetual inventory using Lawson MMIS Ensures cycle counts are complete and updates in Lawson to maintain high accuracy of perpetual inventory Audits inventory on a regular basis to ensure no expired products reach patient care areas.
  • Responsible for building inventory locations in Lawson MMIS and managing requisitions in those areas. Creates EPIC reports by establishing appropriate parameters to verify item usage and cross references Bill Only ' s for invoicing Works closely with patient billing and Accounts Payable to confirm patient bills are accurately reflecting supplies used during the patient ' s case.
  • Creates inventory data reports and analyzes the data to make recommendations for inventory levels that forecast supply demand.
  • Manages vendor workflow through OR/Procedural areas as it relates to inventory Validates item contents of all vendor trays/totes and check in/out inventory in Lawson MMIS as needed Confirm vendors are adhering to RepTrax process and report delinquents to Strategic Sourcing Manager.
  • Ensures consigned inventory is maintained with 100% accuracy to consignment inventory agreement. Manages vendor cycle counts of consigned inventory to maintain transparency between the vendor and UCH Supply Chain .


Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Business or Supply Chain
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum Required1 - 2 Years equivalent experience. Preferred: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with 3-5 years preferred within supply chain; emphasis on high-dollar volume inventory is preferred
  • Experience with Lawson and EPIC is highly preferred

Hours: 7am-3:30pm

Shift: day shift
