The Maxillofacial Technician is responsible for assisting in the creation of highly specialized oral and maxillofacial prosthetics. The Maxillofacial Technician provides care based on provider referrals and clinical assessments. The Maxillofacial Technician is expected to collaborate with the providers and patients to ensure quality service is given.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care to support, modify, replace, protect, or restore an anatomical structure as referred by the provider. Helps with the creation and finalization of custom made of facial or inter oral prosthetic.
  • Collaborates with the provider and patients to provide treatment planning, custom prosthetics, surgical guides, and custom implants. Responsible for clinical assessment follow up, implementation of treatment plans, device delivery, patient education and follow up care and treatment.
  • Creates specialized cases for wax, latex, acrylic, or silicone replicas of impressions taken from patients.
  • Constructs prosthesis and devices replacing wax with latex materials to create final product for use for patient.
  • Maintaining supplies, performing routine maintenance, and facilitating repairs. Adhere to safety standards and industry regulations. Maintain patient information and departmental documents.
  • Manages the inventory of the dental laboratory, including requests for supplies and stocking teeth.
  • Uses standard dental lab tools, pinning equipment, and lathes.
  • Other relevant duties and responsibilities assigned.


Qualifications

Education : High School Diploma or GED - Minimum Required

Experience : 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience - Minimum Required, 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience - Preferred

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours/week

Shift: First Shift
