Utility Plant Engineer

Job Description

To insure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the primary utility systems in the facility.

Boiler and chiller operation, HVAC operation, water treatment testing and chemical management. Repair experience in pumps, valves, controls

While the position will work in a normal office environment, travel to the various hospitals and work locations will be necessary. Work hours will vary from time to time depending upon the needs of the business. Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Operates and inspects boiler and chiller systems, observes and adjusts associated equipment to detect malfunctions. Takes corrective action. - 35% � Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on utility systems equipment. Performs required lubrication on equipment. - 20% � Perform water/chemical tests, determine proper feed rates - 10% � Check equipment, piping and controls for leaks and insulation problems - 10% � Perform other repair work as assigned - 10% � Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation - 5% � Perform other duties as assigned as directed by supervision - 10% | Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities. These physical demands will not be listed or rated on the annual performance appraisal. Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Ohio Stationary Engineer License or Ohio High Pressure Boiler License

2 Years Equivalent Experience-Minimum

5 Years Equivalent Experience-Preferred
