UC Health is hiring a full-time Vice President (VP) of Marketing and Communications for the first shift at the UC Health Business Center.

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will support the UC Health delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

In support of UC Health's mission and goals, the Vice President of Marketing & Communicationswill provide strategic leadership and a forward-thinking approach for marketing and communications for the enterprise. This role will implement strategies that advance and elevate UC Health's brand and consumer loyalty locally, regionally and nationally. With responsibility for communications, Media Relations, Business Outreach, Marketing/Branding, Digital Marketing Technologies/Creative Services this position will build successful brand-building initiatives to ensure the achievement of the company's growth objectives in a highly competitive marketplace. The VP, Marketing & Communications efforts will also significantly advance UC Health's relationships with patients, physicians, employees, community leaders, university leadership, donors and other key influencers.
  • Designs and implements the company's integrated marketing and communications strategic plan ensuring it is aligned with UC Health's strategic growth plan including advertising, public relations, social media, direct marketing, community relations, promotional marketing, CRM, digital marketing, and events and employee communications.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of marketing programs and initiatives, measure ROI, and seek to continuously improve methods and outcomes.
  • Leads the continued development of the organization's brand strategy in strong collaboration with leaders across the UC Family ensuring optimal strategies are implemented to meet established KPIs and aligned key business decisions.
  • Proactively drives strategic business growth and market leadership of prioritized service lines in alignment with the enterprise near and long-term growth plans.
  • Supports the Chief Administrative Officer efforts to advance relationships and strategic partnerships locally, regionally and nationally.
  • Oversees strategic communications or the enterprise, collaborating with leadership with regards to internal employee and physician communications, proactive and reactive media relations, social media, and community relations.
  • Cultivates and nurtures ongoing relationships with the media to proactively and reactively identify and distribute newsworthy information.
  • Ensures the team innovates and identifies collaboration opportunities within the UC Family and beyond to increase visibility and credibility locally, regionally and nationally.
  • Establishes a best-in-class approach and representatives across the organization to interact with the media in crisis situations that impact the health system.
  • Responsible for planning and managing the budget for the Marketing & Communication Department.
  • P&L Management of Marketing Budget, Optimization and ROI delivery on key investments.
  • Provides the near term and long-term vision for a progressive digital marketing and CRM strategy that includes UC Health's website, mobile, social media, online scheduling, email and more leveraging best in class approaches to achieve the optimal patient experience.
  • Guides the organizational approach to a multi-touchpoint CRM strategy that drives patient acquisition, retention and loyalty.
  • Recruits and manages a marketing and communications team to support the development and execution of the marketing and communications strategy.
  • Helps build a team that consistently and constantly delivers excellence and celebrates successes.
  • Supports the team's growth and development.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in marketing, communications or business from an accredited university required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years in development and execution of high performing marketing strategies that drive institutional market position and revenues, required.
  • 11-15 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience developing and executing innovative, effective and evolving marketing and communication strategies and plans that support the growth objectives of the organization.
  • Experience leading internal communications efforts during a time of significant change.
  • Familiarity with new and emerging social media technologies.
  • Progressive leadership growth leading a team of direct and non-direct reports.
