Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely in alignment with physician orders
• Translate medication orders into patient profiles with precision and care
• Manage sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition preparations using best practices
• Maintain full compliance with legal documentation for controlled substances
• Ensure therapies are effective, safe, and financially responsible
• Support pharmacy operations and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team
• Consult on dosing and pharmacokinetics to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
• B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. PharmD degree preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Ohio ACLS preferred.
• Greater than or equal to a six-month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred. Preference will be given to completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency program (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Works independently with confidence and minimal supervision
• Collaborates effectively with pharmacy and health system teams
• Stays flexible and focused through frequent interruptions and shifting priorities
• Makes sound, timely decisions in high-pressure or urgent situations
• Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Prioritizes tasks and adapts to changing workloads or schedules
• Delivers safe, effective pharmaceutical care to diverse patient populations at UC Health

Expected starting salary range for this position is between $61.07/hr.- $70.23/hr.
The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position.
