Job Title: Endoscopy Technician, Full Time, First Shift, UC Medical Center

As an Endoscopy Tech, you'll be a vital member of our Endoscopy team, supporting physicians and nurses during life-changing procedures and ensuring equipment is clean, functional, and ready to go. You'll help deliver a seamless experience for patients and support the team in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patients are comfortable and safe

• Prepare and maintain equipment, scopes, and procedure rooms, following proper sterilization protocols

• Monitor patients and report pertinent observations to the RN during procedures and recovery

• Transport patients to and from the unit, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times

• Help process specimens accurately and maintain proper documentation and communication

• Take vitals, assist with clinical care tasks under RN supervision, and respond quickly during emergencies

• Support scheduling, phone calls, and supply management to keep the department running smoothly

• Maintain and clean scope washers and scope filters, and follow all equipment safety protocols

• Contribute to patient comfort and safety by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

• Attend department meetings, trainings, and in-services to continue your professional development

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of patient care experience required

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED
