Job Responsibilities:
• Patient Care & Population Engagement: Provides age-specific, culturally appropriate care; involves patients and families in decision-making; addresses behavioral health and safety concerns.
• Communication & Relationship Building: Facilitates clear communication among staff, physicians, and leadership; fosters respect, trust, and open dialogue; supports conflict resolution and team building.
• Quality Improvement: Leads initiatives to enhance surgical outcomes and patient safety; promotes evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance; engages teams in performance improvement.
• Safety & Emergency Preparedness: Champions safety and accountability; conducts risk assessments; prepares team for emergency response through drills and planning.
• Resource Management: Manages surgical equipment, supplies, and scheduling; collaborates on inventory and staffing optimization; assesses and adopts new technologies.
• Human Resources & Staff Development: Coaches and mentors staff; oversees onboarding, evaluations, and performance improvement; supports work-life balance and provides on-call leadership.
• Customer Service & Patient Experience: Creates a patient-centered environment; builds physician partnerships; mentors staff on service excellence and communication.
• Professionalism: Leads by example in clinical expertise and ethical behavior; encourages continuing education and certification; promotes open communication and shared decision-making.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Required: Current Ohio RN License and BLS certification
• Preferred: Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR)
• 3-5 years of Operating Room experience
• Broad knowledge of multiple surgical specialties
