Facilitate and enhance the working environment for the Radiologists by improving workflow to increase efficiency and productivity. Provide primary phone support and take appropriate action to facilitate requests from referring physicians and healthcare providers in an accurate and timely manner. Enhance patient safety and flow by assisting the Radiologist in managing patient information and priorities.
We are looking for enthusiastic, customer service oriented people with a radiology background or other healthcare experience.. Knowledge of healthcare terminology preferred. This is a fast paced environment and will require multi-tasking capabilities. This is a full-time position with hours that will vary, 8 hours per day with shifts from 7:30 am until 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities
General Clinical Assistance:
• Enhance patient safety and flow by assisting the Radiologist in managing patient information and priority.
• Provide assistance and services to Radiologists and Radiology customers, both internal and external, to enhance production and workflow.
General Administrative Desk Duties:
• Provide primary phone support and take appropriate action to facilitate the request.
• Accurately relay patient imaging report information to appropriate customers
• Contact outside representatives to request information or assistance in resolving problems.
Evaluation:
• Facilitate outside study reads by appropriately uploading studies to PACS and completing the order process.
• Effectively communicate and document critical test results to referring physicians and healthcare providers in an accurate and timely manner.
• Follow PHI and HIPPA organizational policies and guidelines.
Teamwork:
• Participates cooperatively within the team to efficiently fulfill the goals and responsibilities of the department.
• Working with the team to achieve patient and team goals.
• Maintain/manage strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other key stakeholders.
Patient/Family Satisfaction:
• Provide support for all aspects of customer service for the Radiology Department.
• Identifies and responds appropriately to different needs resulting from, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious / cultural norms.
• Engages in population appropriate communication.

Qualifications
Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Associate's Degree.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATION:None.
Minimum Required: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience - Clinical experience or experience in Radiology. Department Experience in EPIC and PACS systems.
