Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing clear instructions and involving them in all stages of care.
• Tailor care based on patient needs, including age, developmental stage, physical limitations, and behavioral health considerations.
• Safely perform and monitor respiratory treatments and therapies-both invasive and non-invasive-in line with department protocols.
• Assess patient progress and recommend adjustments to therapy based on clinical outcomes.
• Document care accurately and ensure smooth hand-offs using the SBAR model.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, home care, wellness, and safety.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to new team members while supporting leadership initiatives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Expected starting salary range for this position is between $27.33/hr. - $33.78/hr.
The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Required: Associate's Degree
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of a two-to-four-year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program
- RRT credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care within one year of graduation or date of hire
- Current State of Ohio License
- Current BLS (with ACLS, PALS, or NALS for respective work area)
- 1 year of equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiopulmonary disease states and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated leadership ability in department and clinical settings
