Senior Analyst, Full Time, Remote

UC Health is hiring a Full Time Senior Analyst for the Financial Reporting department.

The Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting will report to the Director, Financial Reporting, and assists with the financial reporting for UC Health which includes completion of UC Health's consolidated annual audit report, annual audit reports for several employee benefit plans, daily and monthly financial reporting to senior management and the Board, obligated group debt disclosures and reporting, monthly lease analysis under GAAP, required regulatory surveys, and ad hoc requests. This role assists in maintaining the accuracy, reliability and consistency of all financial information provided to internal and external sources, remaining current with GAAP required accounting and financial statement disclosures, and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures related to financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Daily/Monthly Reporting - Review of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and the Board.
  • Bond Reporting - Preparation and review of quarterly and annual obligated group financial statements, covenant calculations, and required disclosures under UC Health's various debt agreements.
  • Annual Financial Statement Audit - Preparation and review of annual audited financial statements of UC Health.
  • Leases - Review of leases, including analysis for proper accounting of each lease.
  • Employee Benefit Plan Audits - Preparation and review of annual audited financial statements of UC Health's various employee benefit plans.
  • Process Improvements - Continually review processes and procedures for improvement for functions both within and outside the financial reporting team that will improve the control environment, increase efficiencies and accuracy in financial reporting to management.
  • Research - Remain current with GAAP required accounting and financial statement disclosures. Conduct accounting guidance research and prepare accounting memos to document new procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance,
  • 3-5 years of financial reporting experience (public accounting preferred),
  • CPA license.
